What is the meaning of this day
When someone close to you may say
That you are their own sparkling ray
Or smash your heart along the way?
Since all is fair in love and war
We never know just what's in store
And everyday that we want more
Further away we drift from shore.
Sometimes our feelings aren't returned
Our fragile hearts will break when spurned
And even then, it's never learned
For once again our blood has churned.

That first stanza bugs me for some reason...
This is actually kind of random...O_o and a bit depressing actually...Are these my thoughts on the subject of Valentine's Day? No, not really. I just kind of had the urge to write it...that and the fact that ~Kiltul wrote Poems! on my hand a while back and it's still sort of there, haunting me every time I glance at it...
Feel free to critique however you want, just don't leave anything that's too amazingly harsh and that'll leave me in tears (that's very unlikely, by the way...)
